Louis Howard
August 12,1929-May 7,2014
A great heart has stopped beating. Our loss is heaven's gain. Louis was surrounded by his loving family when he went to be with the Lord. Louis was born in Tennessee to Jasper and Alameda Howard. He served in the Korean war and was a prisoner of war for two years. When he returned from war,  he married the love of his life, Darlene Wagoner. They raised five beautiful children, Wendy Harless Lee (Gaylan), Rick Howard (Jolene), Ronda Rogers, Steve Howard (Karen), Melinda Butler (Randy).  He is loved and will be missed by 15 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He was a faithful and devoted church member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church since 1960, always greeting everyone with a smile on his face. He was a dedicated employee of CVC/General Foods for 42 years.  Louis always had a way of making everyone around him feel like the most special person in the room. He was preceded in death by seven siblings and survived by two sisters, Hazel Gipson and Ann Richardson. There will be a celebration of Louis' s life on Saturday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, 341 Claratina Ave., Modesto, CA.
