Richard Lee Clifford, 89, of Oakdale died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Richard was born in Sacramento on Sept. 27, 1923 and previously lived in Escalon and Modesto before residing in Oakdale.  He was an almond farmer in Escalon where he raised his family, a Real Estate Broker and part owner of Liberty Real Estate of Modesto.
   Mr. Clifford's hobby was restoring old cars, especially Packard's and Model A's.  He was a lifetime member of Oakdale Model A Club.  He was a World War II veteran, past member of S.I.R.S., member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Model A Club of America, Ford Skyliner Club of No. Calif., and Packard Club of No. Calif.  He was a member of Knights Ferry Community Church.  He touched the lives of many people and will be remembered for his sense of humor, courage, and love for his family.
   He is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 66 years, daughters Karen Ulmer (Dennis), Linda Peterson (Berwyn), and Diann Boger (Dave); four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and expecting another in July; sister MaryAnn Nyquist (husband Wesley) and sister-in-law Joyce Clifford. He is preceded in death by brothers Dr. Robert Clifford and Donald Clifford.
  A celebration of life will be held June 1, 2013 at the Clifford's residence from 1pm until 5pm.  All friends are welcome.
