Roger "Carl" Marriott
Nov. 1924 - Nov. 2012
Roger "Carl" Marriott, age 87, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Turlock Residential Care.  He was born in Cupertino and lived in Modesto until he moved to Hughson in the mid 1930's.  He was drafted into the United States Army at the age of 18 and served in the 246 Combat Engineers. After his honorable discharge he came back to Hughson to farm walnuts and settled in Turlock in 1980.  He was a member of the Hughson United Methodist Church, life member of the Turlock V.F.W., and Constable of the Ceres Judicial District Court. He loved goose hunting in Canada and salmon fishing in the Strait off the coast of Vancouver Island.
Roger is survived by his loving wife Harriett Marriott of Turlock, son Bruce Edward Marriott of Turlock, daughter Sharon Ann Lingerfelt of Santa Maria, CA, four surviving grandchildren, and one great grandchild.  He is preceded in death by his father Ira Marriott, mother Agnes Gerlach, one step sister, two half brothers, and one grandchild Mandi Lingerfelt.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15th from 1pm - 5pm at Allen Mortuary.
A graveside with Military Honors will be held on Friday at 1:30pm at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson with a Celebration of Life Memorial to follow at 2:30pm at the Hughson United Methodist Church.
