Wayne W. Edmondson was born June 4, 1923 to William and Gertrude Edmondson at Seymour, Iowa and went to heaven to be with his heavenly father April 26, 2014. He passed away peacefully at his Modesto home with his wife and sons by his side, after a courageous battle with his failing heart and kidneys. Wayne served in World War II in the Army Anti Aircraft Division, was in the Omaha Beach Landing and Battle of the Bulge. Wayne married his childhood sweetheart Sept 6, 1943 and to this union they had 5 boys. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, 5 sisters and 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Maxine and 5 sons, Dennis (Julie) of Marysville, WA, Leonard of Modesto, CA, Benjamin (fiancee Julie) of Turlock, CA, Rodney (partner Joseph Ambrose) of Palm Springs, CA and Clifford (Kimberli) of Alamo, CA. 6 grandchildren, Vanessa (Eric) Booth, Justin of Marysville, WA, Lindsay (Lucas) Doney of San Diego, CA, and Jackson, Joseph and Annie of Alamo, CA and 2 great grandsons Tanner Edmondson and Brandon Booth of Marysville, WA. Military Graveside services will be held at a later date at Santa Nella National Veterans Cemetery.
