Peter Adam Krantz, Papa Pete, went home to be with the Lord on September 2, 2013. He was 93 years old. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00 am from Camellia Baptist Church with Reverend Glenn Brock and Reverend Mark Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.

He was an amazing man, World War II vet, prisoner of war, served with 3rd armored division. Mr. Krantz was a great role model for many. He was a fantastic papa, grandfather, great-grandfather and great friend to all who knew him. We were all so blessed to have had him in our lives.
He was preceded in death by his father Jacob Krantz; his mother Ana Marie Rapp Krantz; four brother, Jake, George, Joe and Adam; three sisters, Anna, Katie and Emma; his wife, Elizabeth Dismukes Krantz and two sons, Charles Krantz and James Dismukes.
He is survived by two sisters, Sally Eisenbarth of Brighton, CO and Mary Potsman of Denver, CO; two daughters, Beverly Krantz Strickland (Terry) of Alex City, AL and Betty Dismukes Ramos (Tony) of Prattville, AL; one son, Woody (Tressa) Dismukes; five grandsons, Henry (Jennifer) Manning of Fort Worth, TX, Jody Dismukes of Muscle Shoals, AL, Joseph "Butch" Snyder of Prattville, AL, Gary Smith of Clanton, AL and Joe (Sherri) Smith of Prattville, AL; four granddaughters, Amber Krantz Neal (Scott) of Florence, AL, Debra Loggan of Ft. Worth, TX, Ramona Bankston (Clint) of Burleson, TX and Amanda Vasquez (Gonzalo) of Muscle Shoals, AL.
Pallbearers will be Doug McNeil, Earnest Mosley, Larry Andrews, Chris Morgan, Buddy Parker and Howard Harlin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of Camellia Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Prattville Memorial Chapel from 6:00 till 8:00 pm.
