KING, Stanley (William Stanley), 88, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 29, 2013. He was born on August 3, 1924, in Evergreen, AL., the first of six children born to Richard and Julia King. During World War II, he joined the Navy and served on LST 890 until his honorable discharge. He married his wife, Dorothy, in 1949, and they lived in Montgomery for over 60 years. He worked for Kopper's Company for over 40 years until retirement at age 65. He is survived by wife of over 63 years, Dorothy King; his children, Stephen (Amye) and Kim; two grandchildren, Watson and Carson; a sister, Joy Jean Nolan; three brothers, James, Martin, and Charles King; and extended family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home at 11 AM, with the Life Celebration Service to follow at 12:00 Noon, followed by interment in Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
