ALLEN, Lawrence (Larry)
1920 - 2013
Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home in Richmond, Quebec on October 21, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Adeline Kezar, loving father of Janet Watson (Don) and cherished grandfather of Brett (Gitu) and Carlye (Aaron), step-grandfather of Lisa Meyer (Steve), step-great-grandfather to Connor and Spencer. He is also survived by his sister Barbara (Jimmy Clayton), predeceased by his sisters Marge (late Jack Keeley) and Ruby (Paul Bonnell), also predeceased by his brothers Donald (late Audrey) and Norman (late Fern). Larry was a special friend to the late Mary Shepard. He will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Larry was a World War II veteran and he served overseas with the RCAF. He completed a tour of operations as an Air Gunner. He received an officer's commission and attained the rank of Flying Officer. He served his country well. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 27th, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. followed by a chapel service at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home located at 307 Promenade Riverside, St. Lambert, P.Q., J4P 1A7. Thank you to the staff of Norton 3, Wales Home for the compassion and outstanding care they showed Larry in these last few months. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wales Home Foundation, 506 Route 243, Cleveland, P.Q., J0B 2H0 would be greatly appreciated.
