Barbara A. Gaughran

AGE: 69 • Kendall Park, formerly of Woodbridge

Barbara A. Gaughran passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Robert Wood John Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 69 years old.

Born in the Bronx, NY; She resided in Woodbridge for many years before moving to the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick.

Mrs. Gaughran was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge. She served on the mayor's advisory board in South Brunswick; and was chaplain for Post 9111, Veterans of Foreign Wars, South Brunswick.

Surviving are six daughters, Joann Gaughran and her husband, Elie Spiesel, of South Orange, Jean Haake and her husband, Michael, of Metuchen, June Bruni and her husband, Daniel, of Phoenixville, PA, Jacquelyn Gritz and her husband Jamie of Stewartsville, Jennifer Velez and her husband, Joseph, of Fords and Jodi Geyer and her husband, Randy, of Havre de Grace, MD; a son, Sean Gaughran and his wife, Maureen, of Colonia; a sister, Margaret Collins; two brothers, John Anderson and his wife, Carmen and Dennis Anderson; and twelve grandchildren Aoife, Berit, Emily, Jacob, Zachary, Madison, Bryelle, Brady, Jadyn, Juliet, Thomas, and Jack.

The Funeral will take place Wednesday, February 12, 2014 8:30 a.m. from COSTELLO-GREINER FUNERAL HOME (www.Costello-greiner.com) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A 9:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. James R.C. Church. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
