David W. Snook

AGE: 57 • Bridgewater

David W. Snook, 57, died on January 16, 2014. He was born in Flemington, NJ on September 13, 1956 to his dear parents Harold and Agnes Sibilia Snook. David was a Warehouse Foreman for GSA Federal Supply Services in Burlington NJ; Served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; was a Volunteer Fireman for the Lincoln Hose Fire Dept. in Somerville; and was a member of the Eagles Club in Bridgewater. He was a devoted husband; a loving father, son, and son-in-law; and a dear brother, uncle, and cousin. David enjoyed bass fishing, playing poker, gardening and landscaping. He was funny, had a keen sense of humor, was kind, caring, generous, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

David is survived by his beloved wife, MaryCatherine Wishart Snook of 29 years; his loving children, Christopher, Stephen, Shelby Snook; his wonderful mother, Agnes Snook; a dear sister, Sharon (Larry) Blanke; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and his mother-in-law, Doris Wishart. He was predeceased by his father, Harold Snook.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Somerville Funeral Home, 10 West End Avenue, Somerville, NJ 08876, (908-725-2079). Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Martinsville Fire Dept. (where his two sons, Christopher and Stephen are Volunteer Firemen), 1912 Washington Valley Road, Martinsville, NJ 08836. "You were loved by so many people for your sense of humor, your sense of family, your sense of friendship, and your no nonsense way of telling it like it was!"
