I just found out about Eddie's passing. My deep and sincere condolences to the his family. We were friends at King's, and as life happens, we lost touch. Eddie was a beautiful soul, full of kindness, compassion, and a tremendous sense of humor. One can't think of Eddie without smiling. Prayers going out for his family and those whose lives he touched -- we were all better people just to know him. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. May he rest in peace.

I have thought about Eddie for a long time. We were great friends in college. I have been looking for him over the years and a small piece of paper appeared in my desk drawer about four days after his passing that I had saved with his address on it. My wife did some research on the Internet and found the information about his passing on the Public Records site. It was only a couple of days after he went to be with the Lord--it was as if he was sending me a message. I send my prayers to his family. Please know that he will always be in my heart.

I have been most fortunate to know Ed since the first grade ! He and I went through elementary and high school together, sharing many birthday parties and school events. We remained good friends after graduation, and actually collaborated on a few projects when he was studying in South Bend, IN. I can say without reservation that I have never met a more genuine, compassionate or well-rounded human being. Eddie was one of the "good guys", who always had time for and interest in others. He will be missed by all who knew him; and I wish his family all of God's blessings as they mourn his passing and move forward in life. He will always be with us in spirit, especially when there is a smile or a laugh to be had.

We just learned of Ed's passing from Steve Hiner after the 10:30 Mass at St. Nicholas in Wilkes-Barre.I was Ed's class advisor at King's and friend. He danced at our wedding and consoled us at our own time of loss. We send our prayers to Paula and children and will remember Ed in a very special way for all time. I have been blessed by having Ed as a friend and colleague.
Ed's dignified presence impacted many lives. No matter what each day presented, he met it with humility, grace, and kindness.
He was always there to listen and encourage in a gentle way.
As colleagues, we shared a classroom and as friends we shared hope, faith and encouragement.
No matter how tough his battle with cancer was, he took the time to email me words of encouragement as I adjusted to becoming a widow. Metaphorically, he likened both of our journeys to climbing a mountain. He reminded me that the summit would be reached, and to find joy along the way.
I have lost a trusted, caring friend.
As said many times, he was a true gentleman.
I send my heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family.
Rest peacefully, Ed.
With my love and prayers,

As a classmate of Ed (or Eddie, as we called him back then) I have many fond memories of our school years and of serving with him on the Immaculata Alumni Committee for a few years. H was such a gentle, humble person with a terrific sense of humor. While he will surely be missed by the MANY friends he made through his life, we can all treasure our memories and take solace in knowing he has crossed from the land of the dying to the land of the living. Sincere condolences to his family. God Bless.

Ed was a kind and gentle soul who was almost too sweet for this world and we are all the better for having him in our lives, if only for a while. I will miss him and remember his Groundhog Day and Cinco De Mayo classroom celebrations fondly, especially when he would send kids around with a sombrero on as a hall pass. The world could use more hilarity like that as well. Blessings, patience, and strength to Ed's dear family, his wife and sons. May God bless you and keep you, Ed.

I had the privilege of attending Immaculate Conception and Immaculata with Ed who, because of the spelling of our last names, sat near me in classes, homerooms, etc. for those 13 years. Those who know me hear lots of stories from those days and Eddie, my pal, is an integral character in many. His love of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, coach of the Adamsville Cougars (a sandlot basketball team) and, at Immaculata, the yarmulke-wearing "Walker to Dunellen", my sports copy proofreader for the yearbook and elf to Santa Claus at the Fall Art Show makes my storytelling come alive and my memories quite fond. I was also quite jealous of his neat handwriting since mine was atrocious. I believe it says something about the person when they are remembered as I remember this dear man. To his family, back in the day we loved Eddie as I see you all did. Peace to you and goodbye, my friend.
