AGE: 78 • Seaside Park, formerly of Milltown
Joseph Biondo passed away peacefully on August 13th at Park Place Center with his family at his side. He was 78 years old. He was born on May 23, 1935 in New Brunswick. He lived in North Brunswick and Milltown before moving to Seaside Park. He was also a part time resident of Vero Beach, FL. He looked forward to his winters in Florida after his retirement.
Joe served our country faithfully in the United States Navy from 1953-1957. He retired from PSE&G as a Gas Inspector in 1996 and was a member of the New Brunswick Elks. He was an avid NY Giants fan and enjoyed hunting, gardening, and traveling. Joe loved his boats and salt water fishing. He enjoyed many happy years at the beach with his children and grandchildren, all of them were his pride and joy. He couldn't praise his grandchildren enough.
Joe was pre deceased by his parents, Paul and Vitina Biondo; a brother, Vincent Biondo, sister in law Bernice Biondo and brother in law Frank Jennetty. He is survived by his wife of 55 years; Joan Revolinsky Biondo and their children; Joseph Biondo and his wife Martina of Bound Brook, Michele Bukoskey and her husband Frank of Milltown and Dawn Calvano and her husband Donn of Milltown. Pop Pop to his 4 cherished grandchildren; Brian and Laura Bukoskey and Anthony and Julianne Calvano. He is also survived by his brother Biogio Biondo and his wife Ann, Angelo Biondo and his wife Marie of Milltown, his sisters; Rose Jennetty and Pauline Biondo of Perth Amboy, Antoinette Munro and her husband Donald of Cantonment, FL., brother in law Michael Revolinsky and his wife Joan of Edison and sister in law Lorraine White and her husband Edward of North Brunswick. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Biondo's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful caring staff at Park Place Center and especially to Grace Healthcare, to his exceptional nurse Alyssa, aide Candida, and social worker, Lora.
Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. Services will begin on Monday at 9:45 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church in North Brunswick. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in East Brunswick. In Lieu of flowers a contribution in Mr. Biondo's name may be made to the Cancer Institute of NJ 195 Little Albany street New Brunswick NJ 08901 or to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance PO Box 10426 Uniondale NY 11553-9860.
