Luther L. Taylor

AGE: 87 • Somerville

Luther L. Taylor, 87, of Somerville, passed away August 2 at the VA Hospital of East Orange. Born in Ruther Glen, (Caroline County) Virginia, he lived in Somerville for over 50 years. He was a Navy Veteran of WW II and the Korean War. He was also a retired employee of 30 years for VA Supply Depot and of Mazda Motor Co, Piscataway for 12 years. He did an extensive amount of outstanding volunteer services for Veteran Affairs, American Legion, VFW, FoodBank Network (20yrs) and for the entire community.

He was predeceased by his wife Indaenina "Anna" Taylor, daughter June Wallace and all 10 of his siblings. Surviving are two daughters, Denise Johnson, of Somerville, Marie Beverley, of Queens, NY, his son, Luther "Ray" Taylor of Brooklyn, MD, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours from 2-4pm & 7-9pm on Wednesday, August 6, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Funeral Service 10am on Thursday, August 7, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 158 W. High St., Somerville. Interment to follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
