Philip J. Regan, 60 died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was born in Rahway and lived in Colonia all his life.
Mr. Regan worked for the Middlesex County Correction in North Brunswick for 13 years retiring in 1993 and was an active Volunteer with the Colonia Fire Department for 20 years and served as Fire Chief from 1992-1993. He was a life member of Colonia fire District #12, Iselin-Colonia Exempt Association, Woodbridge Township Fire Officers Association, NJ State Fireman Association Member, NJ State Fire Chiefs Association and Sons of the American Legion #102 Linden. Philip was an avid Yankee Fan.
Mr. Regan is predeceased by his wife, Mary K. Regan, his mother Marjorie (Regan) Meyers, his step-father John Meyers, a sister Kathleen (Regan) Genovese, a nephew Scott Regan, He is survived by two brothers, James and his wife Cathy Regan, Richard and his wife Anna Regan, a sister Judith (Regan) Leaming and her husband Robert, three nieces, Kelly Cespedes, Kimmie Reid and Cindy Wheatley, two nephews, Tom Regan and Richard Regan, two grandnieces Heather Cespedes and Marjorie Regan, three grandnephews, Steven Regan, Brian Uzzo and Jack Regan, his dear friends, Gerrie McCrobie, Steven Wilczynski, Sandy Potkulski, Gary and Roe Prignano and a special thank you to the extended family the Colonia Fire Department .
Services will take place Thursday 10:00 am from the Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home, 275 West Milton Avenue, Rahway followed by a 11:00 am Funeral service at Vanderhoven Chapel at Hazelwood Cemetery, Clark. Interment Hazelwood Cemetery, Clark. Visitation, Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to: Haven Hospice, JFK Medical Center, 65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08818.
