Coy Lee Ethridge HART - Coy Lee Ethridge, 63, of Hart, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, in Hart. Funeral service will be held today, Dec. 31, 2013, at 2 p.m. in First United Methodist Church of Hart with Pastor Justin Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Coy was born on May 13, 1950, in Dimmitt to Ray and Faye Sexton Ethridge. Coy grew up in Muleshoe, Tulia and Hart. Coy graduated from Hart High School. After graduation he served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked as a parts salesman for John Deere and Kubota dealerships for many years throughout his career. He enjoyed working in his yard and spending quality time with his family and friends. Coy is survived by his wife, Vickie Ethridge of Hart; his mother, Faye Ethridge of Tulia; three children, Jason Ethridge and spouse Cindy Rogers of Dumas, Jaime McCarthy and spouse Donald Bixby, and Jada Roberts and husband Justin, all of Amarillo; five brothers, Clarence Ethridge of Dallas, Roy Ethridge of Colorado Springs, Jackie Ethridge of Dimmitt, Johnny Ethridge of Tulia and Darrell Ethridge of San Antonio; one sister, Neta Gore of Tulia; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
