Charles Sullivan
Surfside Beach, SC
Charles "Charlie" Sullivan, age 86, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at his residence in Surfside Beach.
Born in Washington, DC on April 26, 1928, Mr. Sullivan was the son of the late Mr. Charles C. and Eloine Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his brother Dean Sullivan.
Raised in Virginia, Mr. Sullivan joined the Marine Corps and served during World War II. Following his military service he returned to work where he met his wife of 60 years, Virginia. Mr. Sullivan retired from S.P. Dairy and moved to Myrtle Beach 1993 eventually settling in Surfside Beach. He was very active in coaching his son's little league baseball. He enjoyed walking his dogs and always had a smile and hello for everyone he met. Mr. Sullivan would do anything for a neighbor and the world is a better place because of him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends but will not be forgotten.
Survivors include his loving wife Virginia; sons, Chuck and Ken Sullivan, Surfside Beach; brother, Richard Sullivan, VA; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Virginia. Friends and neighbors are welcome to call on the family at their residence any time during the day.
