DENVILLE - James Michael Pearce, 63, of Netcong, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. Born in Pittston, Pa., "Mike" resided in Matamoras, Pa., prior to moving to Netcong seven years ago. He served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1976. He attended college at Penn State University and worked as an engineer technician at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway. Mike was an avid fisherman, hunter and photographer and an excellent cook. Devoted husband of Lucille (Stracco); loving father of Alexander and Joseph; dearest brother of Kim Pearce and his wife, Laurie, Robert Pearce, the late Edwin Jack Pearce and the late Linda Pearce Rotondi; and beloved uncle of many nieces, nephews and grandnephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mike's life celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A prayer service will be offered at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be held privately.
