DAVIS

Cecil O., 89, passed away Saturday July 5, 2014. A native of Lee County, Kentucky he was born April 12, 1925, to the late Frank O. and Gertrude Gabbard Davis. He was a member of the St. Helen Masonic Lodge for over 60 years, and a US Army veteran, with 3 Bronze Stars, having served in WWII. He was retired after 38 years of service with the C & O Railroad. Preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, a son, Larry O. Davis, a brother, James A. Davis, his survivors include two daughters, Linda Traud (Martin) of Greenville, NC, Donna Davis Norris (James) of Lebanon, OH; three sons, Michael J. Davis (Sue) of Cincinnati OH, Douglas W. Davis (Karen) of Wilmington OH, and Gregory A. Davis (Ali) of Hilliard OH; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eva Cundiff of Nicholasville, KY. All who knew him, could attest that he was a very generous and benevolent person, who never knew a stranger. Kind and non-judgmental, he was a man who lived life on his own terms. He was loved by many, most especially by his family. He will be greatly missed. Visitation Monday July 7th 5-7 P.M., with funeral service at 7 P.M..
