James M. Donelan, 80 of Fort Thomas, passed away on February 11, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Fort Thomas, KY. Mr. Donelan was a Pest Control Operator for Fort Thomas and Cincinnati VA. Member of St. Thomas Church, Fort Thomas where he was an Usher and Eucharistic Minister, Active in Boy Scouts of America, St. Thomas Booster Past President and Highlands High School Boosters, Fort Thomas Seniors, Fenians of Northern Kentucky, and US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict, avid Reds fan, Ft.Thomas Junior Baseball League President. Born May 1, 1933 in Fort Thomas, KY to the late Richard Donelan and Alma Dorsel Donelan. Preceded in death by his sister, Sarah M. Feldmann, and brothers, Richard D. and John W. Donelan. Survived by his Wife of 56 years, Joan Lois (nee Meyer) Donelan of Fort Thomas, KY, Sons, Pat (Lisa) Donelan of Fort Thomas, KY, Kevin (Cindy) Donelan of Fort Thomas, KY, Sean (Amanda) Donelan of Fort Thomas, KY, Danny (Brianne) Donelan of Burlington, KY, and Jeremy (Kathy) Donelan of Fort Thomas, KY, Daughter, Tara (Bill) Jurgens of Fort Thomas, KY, Sister, Patricia Hehl of Fort Thomas, KY, Sister-in-law, Margaret Donelan of Fort Thomas, 18 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren. Visitation 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Dobbling Funeral Home, 106 S.Fort Thomas Ave., Fort Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am Monday, February 17, 2014, at St. Thomas Church, Fort Thomas, Kentucky, with Rev. Roger P. Cooney, officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to the St. Thomas Boy Scout Troop #70, 26 East Villa Place, Fort Thomas, KY. 41075.
