John S."Jack" Campbell, 87 of Highland Heights, passed away on January 31, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Campbell was a dockman for several local trucking companies. He was also a machinist for the C&O Railroad. Member of the Newport Elks Lodge #273, lifelong member of Fr. DeJaco Knights of Columbus Council, avid boater who enjoyed many hours on the Ohio with family and friends, retired Teamster, member of St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring, and US Navy WWII Veteran. Born September 21, 1926 in Newport, KY to the late John Campbell and Katherine Wagonlander Campbell. He was preceded in death by his Brothers, Tom Campbell, Jerry Campbell, Sisters, Peggy Sweitzer, Ann Schroder. Survived by his Wife of 59 years, Norma (nee Turner) Campbell of Highland Heights, KY, Son, Tim (Debbie) Campbell of Alexandria, KY, Granddaughters, Kristen and Natalie, Brother, Richard Campbell of NC, Sisters, Patricia Buemi of Newport, KY, and Rose Goetz of Fischers, IN. Visitation 10:30 am to 11:30 am, Friday, February 7, 2014 at St. Joseph Church, 4011 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring. Memorial Mass will follow at 11:30 am Friday, February 7, 2014, at church with Rev. Gerald Reinersman, officiating. Following Mass, the family will receive friends and relatives at the Newport Elks Lodge, 3704 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring.
