Leonard "Jock" Clifton Jr., age 83 of Walton, KY passed away Friday, August 29, 2014. He was a retired truck driver with McLean Trucking. Jock served in the US Army as a Sergeant First Class during the Korean War, receiving the Bronze Star with 5 campaign ribbons. He was a member of American Legion Post # 277. He was an avid bowler with the Senior Citizens at Florence Bowl. Jock also enjoyed the outdoors, watching sports and horse racing. He is preceded in death by his step-mother, Mary Delonia Jump, son, Leonard Clifton III, brothers, Jessie Clifton and Elmer Clifton and sister, Mary Hazel Birmingham. Jock is survived by his loving wife, Betty Lou Clifton, daughter, Sherry Jackson (Paul), sons, Larry Clifton (Barb) and Mark Clifton, sisters, Marietta Nadine Buchanan and Betty Jane Gutman, brother, Bobby Ray Clifton, grandchildren, Scott and Holly Jackson, Elizabeth, Josh and Cheyanne Clifton and Rose Fields, great-grandchildren, Drew, Tanner and Brett Jackson. Services will be held at Chambers & Grubbs Walton. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 5-8 PM. The Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11 AM.
