BAYNUM

Vernon "Duke" A. Baynum, 87, of Fort Thomas, passed away on April 10, 2014 at his residence. He was a Supervisor with Wiedmann Brewery in Newport, KY. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, a member of the Lawlor-Hanlon VFW post # 5662 and also worked for the DAV in Cold Spring. He was preceded in death by a son Donald Baynum. Vernon "Duke" is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Smith Baynum of Fort Thomas, KY, sons, Vernon (Beverly) Baynum Jr., Richard Baynum, Mary, Chris Baynum, a daughter, Lisa (John) Hladik, a brother, Ernest Baynum, grandchildren, Andrew Baynum, Rachel, Matthew Baynum, Nathan Baynum, Zachary Baynum, Brian (Jenna) Hladik, Michael Hladik, Lindsay Hladik, great grandchildren, Guinevere Baynum, Thomas Baynum, Mary Lou Hladik. Visitation 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am Monday, April 14, 2014, at the St. Therese Church, Southgate, Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to the DAV 3725 Alexandria Pike Cold Spring, KY 41076.
