Irvin Schmidt Obituary
Irvin L. "Hank" Schmidt, 84, of Cold Spring, passed away on November 19, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Fort Thomas, KY. He was a Financial Advisor with Gradison/UBS Financial Services for over 50 plus years. Mr. Schmidt was a member of the St. Joseph Holy Name Society, the Newport Catholic Sports Hall of Fame and veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Schmidt, son Thomas J Schmidt and brother William Schmidt. Mr. Schmidt is survived by his wife of 58 years Patricia (nee: Ryan) Schmidt of Cold Spring, KY; his son Michael L. (MaryJo) Schmidt of Cold Spring, KY; daughter Nancy (Will) Grant of Highland Heights, KY; his daughter-in-law Vira Schmidt of Cold Spring, KY; 11 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren; brothers Raymond Schmidt, Arthur Schmidt and , Rev. Leo C. Schmidt. Visitation will be 4 PM to 8 PM Monday, November 23, at the Muehlenkamp-Erschell Fort Thomas Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Tuesday, November 24, at St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring, Kentucky. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Cold Spring, Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to the Thomas Schmidt Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Newport Central Catholic High School, 13 Carothers Road, Newport, Kentucky 41071.
