Daniel P. Sheahan, Jr. Born: Oct. 25, 1934; In Richmond, IL Died: Feb. 27, 2014; In Woodstock, IL Daniel P. Sheahan Jr., age 79, of Woodstock, died on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Centegra Hospital - Woodstock surrounded by his family. He was born October 25, 1934 in Richmond, to Daniel P. and Dona E. (Sennett) Sheahan Sr. He married Diane Parker on October 8, 1955 in Woodstock. Mr. Sheahan was a veteran serving in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. He had been employed for many years with Reichert Chevrolet in Woodstock; and was a member of the Woodstock Moose Lodge, and a past member of the Woodstock Knights of Columbus, and the Woodstock Elks Lodge. Among many other things, Dan was a sports fan, he was a volunteer football coach at St. Mary 's for many years; an avid Chicago White Sox fan, a Bear fan; and a Notre Dame fan. He is survived by his wife, Diane Sheahan of Woodstock; his children, Kevin (Sandy) Sheahan of Wonder Lake, Jon (Laurel) Sheahan of Woodstock, Colleen (Robert) Readel of Concho, AZ.; grandchildren, Heather (Brett) Slapke, Monica (Ian Hall) Sheahan, Rayanne Sheahan, Erin Sheahan, Adam (Leanna) Sheahan, Amanda (Marc Pellien) Readel, Joshua Readel; his great grandchildren, Lilyana Sheahan-Espina, Blake Slapke, Payton Pellien, Adley Sheahan; a sister, Mary Lou (Donald) Lamos; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters in law, Philip (Janet) Parker, Thomas (Cyndi) Parker, Peter (Linda) Parker, Julie (Francis) Gende, and Kristine (James) Liebetrau. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin grandsons, Calin and Nathan Sheahan; a brother, James Sheahan; and a sister in law, Mary Sue Parker. Funeral and interment services will be private.
