Bernard "Bernie" E. Little of Fleming Island,Fl. passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the age of 88. Bernie was born in Saffel, Arkansas on May 19, 1926 to Owen and Mae Little. He is survived by daughter, Bonnie (James) Whitehead of Orange Park, FL; and son, Barry Little of Fleming Island, FL; one brother, Elbert Little of Arkansas; two granddaughters: Cherie (Jeffery) Schopp and Jenny (James) Lakomecki; five great grandchildren: Emily, Josh, and Jacob Schopp and Alexis and Leah Schopp. He is preceeded in death by his wife, Betty; and sisters: Mildred and Ann. Bernie and Betty were owners of Little Funeral Home, now Pruzin & Little Funeral Service, in Crown Point. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Middleburg, FL and a former member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. John U.C.C. in Crown Point. He was also a member of Rotary Club in Crown Point. Bernie was a graduate of Crown Point High School, Class of 1946 and Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He was the cornerstone of his family. Franciscan Dr (south of St. Rd. 231 on St. Rd. 55), Crown Point on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from Pruzin & Little Chapel with Pastor Chad Kendall from Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowell officiating.
