BERNARD R. CAMPBELL, SR. BRAZIL, IN
Bernard R. Campbell, Sr., 77, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born on December 2, 1936 in Gary, IN to John and Mary Campbell. Bernie graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1955 before serving his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bernard retired in 1988 from U.S. Steel where he worked as an electrician before being promoted to Maintenance Supervisor. He was also employed Auton Technical and International Mill Service, and was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church. Bernie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: James, Thomas and John; and sister, Catherine. Survivors Include his wife of 54 years, Mary Campbell of Brazil, IN; sons: Michael (Bonnie) Nestorovich of Valparaiso, IN, Bernie (Barbara) Campbell, Greenfield, IN, Paul Campbell of Merrillville, IN; daughter, Beth (Russell) Christopher of Greer, SC; brothers: Charles "Art" (Mary) Campbell of Merrillville, IN, Robert Campbell of Merrillville, IN, and Donald Campbell of Crown Point, IN; 11 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Brazil with Fr. John Hollowell officiating. Burial to follow at Clearview Cemetery. The family will accept friends from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at the Moore Funeral Home in Brazil. Memorial contributions may be made to Annunciation Catholic Church.
