CHARLES J. MINER "CHUCK" MONTICELLO, IN / WHITING Charles J. "Chuck" Miner, 42 of Monticello, IN, formerly of Whiting, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the IU Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, IN. Loving father of Alyssa Miner; beloved son of Phillip and Bernadette (Chidalek) Miner; cherished grandson of Betty (late Joseph) Chidalek all of Whiting; favorite former wife, Amie Miner Collins and her children: Joseph and Lexi Collins; many dear aunts, uncles and cousins; his canine companions: "Annie", "Zoey" and especially "Tasha". A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting. Chuck Miner was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community and a recent resident of Monticello, IN. He attended St. John School, Whiting and was a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute, Class of 1989. Chuck was a very talented carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters' Union, Local 599. An avid all sports fan, Chuck coached for the Robertsdale Little League and cheered for the University of Michigan Football and Basketball Teams. Devoted to his family, Chuck will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
