FLORENCE M. BAKER (NEE MESKER) HIGHLAND, IN / FORMERLY OF MUNSTER
Florence M. Baker (nee Mesker), 92, of Highland, IN, formerly of Munster, IN, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014. She is survived by her three daughters: Wanda (Paul) Feder, Helen (Richard) Lash and Jane Baker; two sons: George (Sandy) Baker and William (Emily) Baker; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, James T. Baker, on February 17, 2003. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at the Anthony & Dziadowicz Funeral Home, 9445 Calumet Ave. (at 45th St.), Munster, IN, with Rev. Gerald Schweitzer officiating. Memorial visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Florence was born in Olivia, MN, and received her nursing degree from the University of Minnesota. She was a retired registered nurse having worked at American Steel Foundry and the Hammond Public Schools. Florence was a member of the Extension Homemakers Club for over 30 years and she was a U.S. Army Nurse Corps veteran of WWII.
