Helen Vaile, 103, a resident of Bella Vista, AR for four years, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, AR. Helen Bird Galaty Vaile was born October 24, 1909 in Oak Park, IL to Peter Constantine and Minnie Elizabeth Bird Galaty. She was one of two children. Helen was raised and educated in Oak Park, attended Beloit College in WI, and graduated from the University of Illinois. She married William Wilson Vaile on September 14,, 1935 and they shared 42 happy years together. Helen and Wilson raised one daughter, Bonita Helen Fischer Dove, who resides in Bella Vista, AR. Helen was a homemaker dedicated to her family, enjoyed her church and was active in a number of church guilds (especially Saint Barbara's Guild at Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Wayne, IN), the Kappa Delta Sorority Society, and other various clubs. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Vaile; and one brother, James Galaty. She is survived by one daughter, Bonita Dove; her son-in-law, John of Bella Vista; two grandsons: Col. Jeffrey Howard Fischer of Vienna, Austria and Bret Michael (Lisa) Fischer of Kansas City, MO; two great granddaughters: Madison Rose Fischer and Laney Bella Fischer of Kansas City, MO; two nieces: Diane (Jack) Galaty Connors and Frances Galaty Carson, both of Bettendorf, IA; and a great nephew, Brain Vaile of Webster, FL. Helen's grandsons and great granddaughters were the love of her life and all who knew her will cherish the memories of this caring and loving fine lady.
