Irving Lang, 78, of Dyer, IN died on March 23, 2013 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born on May 14, 1934 in Hammond, IN, a child of Adolf and Vera June (Hartlerode) Lang. Mr. Lang was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, an agent for State Farm Insurance Company for 33 years in Highland, IN and was a member of the Ridge United Methodist Church in Munster. He received his BA and MBA degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Irv is survived by his wife of 52 years, Darlene (Dibblee) Lang; his children: Michelle (Gino) Pupillo of St. John and Marcia (Stephen) Grim of Munster; his grandchildren: Holly and Jacob Patton, Mallory, Simon and Reed Grim; his sisters: Heidi (Rev. Jerome) Huber of Sheboygan, WI and Trudy (Dr. Walter) Swentko of Minneapolis, MN. A memorial service will be held on May 18, 2013 at 3:30 PM in the Ridge United Methodist Church, 8607 Columbia Ave., Munster, IN 46321. The visitation will begin at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Hospice of the Calumet Region, 600 Superior Ave., Munster, IN 46321 or the Ridge United Methodist Church. Friends may sign the guest book at:
