JAMES W. MOORE "HOLY" EAST CHICAGO, IN
James W. Moore, age 96, of East Chicago passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Heritage Health Care in Normal, IL. He is survived by one daughter, Ethel Borom of Hurtsboro, AL; one son, Joseph Moore of East Chicago; three grandchildren; Nicole (Charles) Bright of Augusta, GA, Anita Moore of Normal, IL, and Amanda (Larry) Phillips of Hurtsboro, AL; two great grandchildren: Khalil Bell and Jasmine Phillips; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Thelma "Bubbie" Moore. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 3602 Ivy Street, East Chicago with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Interment at Fern Oaks Cemetery, Griffith. Visitation will be Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service with Masonic Rites at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Moore was retired from American Can. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Lakeside Lodge #47 P.H.A.F.&AM. Hinton & Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
