JANE K. SHOTTON VALPARAISO, IN Jane K. Shotton, age 63, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at home after a battle with breast cancer. She was born March 29, 1949 in Chicago, IL to T.J. and Irene (Grejtak) Moran. Jane graduated from Minnetonka High School, received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and her Master's degree from the University of Illinois. She was a teacher for 17 years in Kankakee and Western Springs, IL, then worked as a corporate trainer with the Grammar Group. Jane cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Thomas A. Shotton; three step-children: Matt (Sandy) Shotton of West Allis, WI, Amanda (Chris) Osborne and Michelle (Keith) Neal both of Marion, IL; seven grandchildren: Darby, Sydney and Delaney Shotton, Brandon and Blake Osborne, Katie and Kellie Baltzell; two brothers: Tom Moran of Eden Prairie, MN and Steve (Linda) Moran of Idaho Springs, CO; two sisters: Arline Glenn of Excelsior, MN and Cheryl Moran of Minnesota; two sisters-in-law: Vicki Denning of Marion, IL and Paula (Steve) Pederson of Edina, MN; niece, Kristin (Paul) Gruidl; nephew, Eric (Sopheap) Moran; great-niece, Kara Kathleen Gruidl; and dear friend, Jodie Peller. She was preceded in death by her parents. Cremation will take place at Angelcrest Crematory. A memorial service is being planned for January.
