Jerry F. Crosek, age 73, of Highland, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Pattie (Nee Dwardy) and his best buddy "Wrigley", children: Debbie (Paul) Russo of Texas, Dean Crosek of Texas, Danny Crosek of Texas; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren who called him "Fat Papa"; sisters: Barbara (Julius) Johnson, Linda (Patrick) Smith; sister-in-law, MaryLou (late Larry) Crosek, many Nieces and Nephews; Best Friend, Brian Minch.. Preceded in death by parents, John and Barbara Crosek, loving daughter, Donna Lackey. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. at the SolanPruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN (corner Main and Kennedy) with Deacon Michael Halas officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Jerry worked as an Operating Eng. for Local 150 for 49 years. Member of the Highland Elks and Club Kayoga. He was an avid Golfer. Jerry was a Die hard Cubs fan, Colts Fan and so so Yankees Fan. Jerry was Loved by so many. A special Thanks to Jamie Harrison and Cindy Hines, his dear nurse friends, who provided loving care and health cservices.
