JOHN CUBRANICH HIGHLAND, IN

John Cubranich, age 82, of Highland, IN, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 22, 2014. He is survived by his adoring and devoted great nieces: Jennifer (Jeff) Hines and Kimberly (Michael) Schuler; special great great nieces: Kaitlin and Kristen Hines, who "truly had his heart"; great nephew, Richard (Julie) Jones; loving nephews: Charles R. (Dorothy) Jones and Russell (Candy) Jones; devoted sister-in-law, Martha Jones; loving niece, Betsy (Kurt) Karlson, many other nieces and nephews and special helper and friend, Sandy Burgans. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Roberta; father, John Cubranich; mother, Alberta Sikich; and step-father, Thomas Sikich. Funeral services will be held at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave. in Highland on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Burial Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 p.m. John served in the U.S. Army (Military Police) during the Korean War. He worked at Blaw-Knox for 40 years retiring in 1986. He was a devoted husband to Roberta for 62 years. Almost everyone knew him as "Uncle", as he was the caring loving uncle to so many. And while he will be dearly missed by those who loved him, we know he had Auntie smiling and dancing in heaven when he joined her. www.fagenmiller.com
