Nancy (Rubush) Nordmann (nee Scecina), age 72 of Crown Point, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Survived by three children: Nancy (Tim) Powers of Ohio, James (Charlotte) Rubush of IL, and Jerry (Trina) Rubush of Hobart; grandchildren: Jennifer and Tiffany Rubush, Shanna, Kaitlyn, and Elizabeth Powers, Katherine Rubush, and Shanell Marks; two great grandchildren: Sofia and Keighlee. Preceded in death by husband, Edward. Nancy was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church and a very active member of the Share Foundation. She was a graduate of Tolleston High School, Class of 1959, received her BS degree from I.U., and received her Master's from I.U.N. She was a retired school teacher from Evans Elementary School, River Forest School System with 34 years of service. Nancy was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association and the I.U. Alumni Association. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway, Merrillville) on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 3:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 11, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 A.M. from Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church (8303 Taft St., Merrillville) with Rev. Peter Muha and Rev. Dennis Blaney officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Share Foundation. Family and friends may share an online condolence or memory at:
