STEVEN HARGARTEN WEST LAFAYETTE, IN
Steven Hargarten, 24, of West Lafayette, passed away August 26, 2013 at home after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Valparaiso to Thomas and Dianne Hargarten. He was a 2007 graduate of Chesterton High School and attended Purdue University in West Lafayette. Most recently he worked as a general manager at Moe’s Southwest Grill. Steven is survived by his parents: Thomas and Dianne of Valparaiso; sisters: Bridget (Michael) Beres of West Lafayette and Andrea Hargarten of Lafayette; and brother, Michael Hargarten of Valparaiso. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews: Kylie, Hayden, Caleb, and Isabel; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Nicholas and Julia Hargarten, and Joseph and Zora Simatovich. Visitation will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso, IN Friday, August 30, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. (Central Time) followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest during a private gathering of his immediate family. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be sent to the IU Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.
