Thomas W. "Tom" Osby, 81, of Winamac, IN passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home in Winamac. Tom was born on April 11, 1933 in Hebron, IN to the late William Robert and Lucille Bryant Osby. He married Nancy L. Sloan on May 5, 1956 in Crown Point, IN. Nancy passed away December 29, 2010. Tom served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Tom was a lifelong plumber and a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and working with his hands. Tom loved his family. He will be dearly missed. Survivors include: daughters: Laura A. (Ron) Barney of Portage, IN and Carrie S. (Chris) Melton of Valparaiso, IN; grandson, Michael Osby; grandson, Kyle Osby; granddaughter, Holly VanDeVelde; granddaughter, Pam (Tim) Leyden; grandson, Steve Melton; granddaughter, Val Melton; great grandson, Tommy Vandevelde; great granddaughter, Olivia Vandevelde; great granddaughter, Jasmin Flores; great grandson, Maurice Vandevelde; great grandson, Nicholas Leyden; great granddaughter, Ava Osby. Preceded in death by mother, Lucille Bryant Osby; father, William Robert Osby; wife, Nancy L. Sloan Osby; son, Michael T. Osby; two brothers and one sister. No services will be held.
