W. BRIAN MATHIAS LAKE DALECARLIA/LOWELL
W. Brian Mathias, 74, of Lake Dalecarlia/Lowell, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Judie; daughters: Kelly (Stew Williams) Mathias of Peru and Jennifer (Carl) Bohlin of Highland; grandchildren: Connor Mathias and Hailey Bohlin; sister, Darnell (Robert) DeGonia of Kingman, IN; sister-in-law, Deborah (Greg) Kratochvil; and several nieces and nephews. Brian served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a retired Ironworker with Local #395, member of NW Indiana Symphony Chorus, Cedar Creek Advisory Board, President of Friends of the Lowell Library, active in Buckley Homestead, Tri Creek Republicans and Tri Creek Precinct Committeeman, former Lake Dale Volunteer Fireman and known to all as Lowell’s favorite “Jolly Ole Soul”. Cremation will precede visitation, Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 12:00-4:00 PM, concluding with funeral services at 4:00 PM, at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave. in Lowell. Pastor Keith Rickert officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the family. www.sheetsfuneral.com
