BROWN--Arnold, born August 18, 1927, died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on June 19 after a brief illness. Brilliant, wise, witty, and generous, he was adored by all whose lives he touched. Arnold was a veteran of the US Navy, graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and UCLA, and former chairman of the World Future Society. A futurist and pioneer in trend research, he established the consulting firm of Weiner Edrich Brown with Edie Weiner in 1977. He is survived by his daughter Cynthia Mooney and her husband Thomas; son Derek Brown and his wife Jennifer; three grandchildren, Paul and Kira Mooney and Ava Roberts; and brother Marvin Brown. He is predeceased by his daughters Pamela Roberts and Katherine Brown. His family and work meant everything to him, and his passing leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of many.
