GREENBAUM--Beatrice Weiner, died April 5, 2014, born May 31, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY to Israel and Rose Weiner. A graduate of New York University, and holder of Masters' degrees in Health and Public Policy from the University of Michigan and Sarah Lawrence College. A life-long advocate for compassionate end of life care and the founder and supporter of numerous charitable organizations devoted to hospice care and informed decision-making. Pre-deceased in 2009 by her beloved husband of 67 years, the Hon. Maurice Coleman Greenbaum. Survived by her children Debra and Robert Fisher; her grandchildren Daniel (Ashley) Fisher and Elizabeth Fisher; and her great-grandchildren Cabot Coleman Fisher, Winston Clark Fisher and Burke Samuel Fisher. Services April 7, 9:30am at Temple Beth El of Great Neck, 5 Old Mill Road, Great Neck, NY. Shiva, 6:30-9pm, April 7, at Bea's home, 6:30-9pm, April 8 and 9, Debbie and Bob's home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to to the Rabbis' Discretionary Fund at Temple Beth El, Great Neck. An example of dignity and rectitude to all who knew her; a living symbol of a time gone by. She will be missed.
