DEAN HOLBROOK Obituary

HOLBROOK--Dean. Dearly loved husband and father, Dean Holbrook, passed away on March 28, 2013 at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Christina Flander Holbrook, three children and four grandchildren. A graduate of Princeton University and Yale Law School, he practiced law for 50 years in New York City. An avid runner, he ran over 20 marathons and competed in races into his 70's. He was a member of the Rotary Club and active in several animal welfare organizations. He will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial Service: April 10th, Faith Lutheran Brethren Church, 480 Pleasantville Road., Briarcliff Manor, NY. Greeting at 10:30am, Service at 11:00am.

To Dean's Family,

I knew Dean from Toastmasters and he was incredibly warm and gracious man. He was always kind and supportive of me. In his speeches he spoke lovingly of his family and about his advocacy for animals. I will miss his presence.

Dean was a wonderful, caring man. We knew him for many years at Roughrider's Toastmaster Club in NYC. He loved to speak, and gave speeches about how much he loved his family and his avid hobby of running. He will be missed and remembered. Robert Gedaliah and Rande Davis Gedaliah.
