LIDOW--Eric. The officers, board and staff of the American Technion Society (ATS) mourn the passing of Eric Lidow, a devoted and generous supporter for more than five decades. He followed in the footsteps of his father, Leon, who was deeply involved with the ATS. Mr. Lidow, a noted physicist and business entrepreneur, founded semiconductor company Selinium Corporation of America, and power electronics company International Rectifier. Under his leadership, International Rectifier pioneered fundamental advances in the semiconductor field. Mr. Lidow served as a member of the Technion International Board of Governors and the ATS Board of Regents. He established the Lidow Physics Complex at the Technion, a globally recognized focal point for research in electronics, satellite communications and biotechnology. Mr. Lidow and his wife Leza became Technion Guardians, signifying the highest level of support. Mr. Lidow was recognized with an honorary doctorate from the Technion and the Albert Einstein Award, the highest ATS honor. We offer our sincere sympathies to Leza Lidow, children Alexander, Alan and Derek Lidow and Melodie Hollander, and the entire Lidow family. American Technion Society Scott Leemaster, President Joel S. Rothman, Chairman of the Board Melvyn H. Bloom, Executive Vice President
