LAUDER--Evelyn. The Board and staff of the Elton John AIDS Foundation mourn the loss of our cherished friend Mrs. Evelyn Lauder. Together with her husband Leonard, Evelyn was a devoted benefactor and patron of the Foundation's work for many years. In fact, Evelyn and Leonard were honored with the Elton John AIDS Foundation's Enduring Vision Award for their dedicated support and service to our mission in November of 2009. Evelyn also founded and chaired the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, established the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and helped to develop the Pink Ribbon, which serves as the global symbol for breast health. We extend our deepest condolences to Leonard and to their entire family. Evelyn leaves behind an extraordinary legacy of humanitarian philanthropy that is both humbling and awe inspiring and that will never be forgotten. Sir Elton John, Founder David Furnish, Chairman Scott Campbell, Executive Director
