GRACE--F. Cecil, 97, of Katonah, NY on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Founder of the F. Cecil Grace Positive Role Model Program. Born August 1, 1915 in New York City. Graduate of Harvard University, United States Army World War II Veteran. He was a member of Squadron A of the New York National Guard. In August 1941 he was commissioned 2nd Lt. in the Signal Corps and assigned to the Electronics Training Group. He was sent with the army's first 30 to study radar in England, then attached to the Royal Air Force; specializing in airborne radar. He went overseas in July '44 as chief radar observer of a night fighter squadron with the 14th Air Force. He invented a device for FM radio that was accepted by the Signal Corps for patenting. He is survived by his beloved wife, Boo.
