HOLLOWAY--Frank P., Jr., 87, died peacefully February 8, 2014. He will be laid to rest with his parents Frank P. Holloway, Sr. and Caroline Ellis and first wife Lecarda Johnson Holloway in Pass Christian, MS on the Gulf Coast where he spent his formative years. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as an electronics communications instructor. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in chemical engineering. In 1948 he joined Carbon Products Division, Union Carbide, Fostoria, OH as project engineer and later the Stellite Division, Indianapolis, IN and Materials Systems Division, Columbia, TN, in management positions. In 1975 he moved to corporate headquarters, New York, NY as President of the Electronics Division. His team received awards including an Oscar for the development of lighting technology that enhanced movie production. Retired in 1986 he divided his time between New York, NY and Hanover, NH pursuing interests in travel, history, theater, carpentry and golf. He was an active board member of AVA Art Center, Lebanon, NH. Frank was a family man with a big heart and a sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ann Audley Holloway, an artist; daughters Gail Shiel, Jean Holloway Nahum; Ann's daughter Laura Shawn Bolger, son John Sparks; nieces, nephews, 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by sister Ina Jean Bailey, son-in-law Andrew Shiel.
