LOVITT--George, of Princeton, NJ, died on February 6, 2013. Loving husband of the late Nancy Lovitt (nee Posner) and Judith Bronston, he was the beloved father of Alison Reinfeld, Chip and Robert Lovitt, and Patricia Barrier. Born in Bridgeport, CT, on June 7, 1922, he grew up in Freeport, NY, and attended Hamilton College and New York University. He served as a lieutenant in the US Army in France during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. George was a respected figure in the book publishing industry. In 1952 he joined the pioneering book advertising agency, Franklin Spier, as account executive, and eventually became president of the firm. Besides his children, he is survived by his loving wife, Judith Bronston, his adoring stepdaughters, Baila Grinker, Jan Gorban, Deb Bronston-Culp, Sue Griffis, and Ruth Bronston, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
