KRIMENDAHL--H. Frederick II., died peacefully in New York City on Tuesday, January 21st, 2014. Fred was chairman of Petrus Partners, Ltd., a real-estate investment firm in New York, which he founded in 1992. His investment banking career began in 1953, when he joined the firm of Goldman Sachs & Co., becoming a partner in 1962. Fred served on the Management Committee at Goldman Sachs from 1975 until 1987, when he became a Limited Partner. After the firm became public in 1999, Fred became a Senior Director. While working at Goldman Sachs, he developed the Firm's 370,000 square foot European headquarters in London. Fred was also a Director and past President for ten years of the Philharmonic Symphony Society of New York, a Director Emeritus of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, a Founding Member of the James Madison Council of the US Library of Congress, a Director of the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Associates, and a Trustee of The Ohio State University Foundation. In addition, Fred has been a director of eight publicly traded corporations. Fred graduated from Ohio State University and the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, and he served in the US Air Force as a lieutenant. He is survived by his wife, Emilia. Two daughters, Elizabeth and Nancy Krimendahl, and a grandson, Teddy Krimendahl, survive from his marriage to Connie, who predeceased him. Guy and Gray Harley, his stepsons, also survive Fred. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 7th at 3:00pm at St. James' Church in New York followed by a reception at the Knickerbocker Club. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Fred's name may be sent to the Philharmonic Symphony Society of New York.
