FRANKENTHALER--Helen. The Board of Trustees and staff of The Jewish Museum mourn the loss of the artist Helen Frankenthaler, whose pioneering paintings embodied an unusual combination of power and delicacy. We were honored to show her work many times over the course of her career. Her first solo museum exhibition was at The Jewish Museum in 1960. We extend our condolences to her husband, Stephen M. DuBrul Jr., and her family and friends. Robert Pruzan, Chairman, and Claudia Gould, Helen Goldsmith Menschel Director, The Jewish Museum
