PAVLICH-CARRON--Jacqueline, (1945-2013), member of the dance faculty at the University of Southern California Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, passed away on November 30, in Los Angeles. She danced professionally in Europe and, in California, as Principal Dancer of the Oakland Ballet Company. As Associate Member of the Royal Academy of Dance, London, she worked throughout Europe and in the United States as teacher, choreographer, ballet mistress and private coach. In Los Angeles, she taught at a number of dance studios and, from 1987 to 1997, she was Director of her own dance academy, School of Ballet Arts, before being hired by USC in 2001. She was an inspiration to her students who found in her the challenge of a demanding teacher with a sympathetic ear but ultimately a professional artist to emulate.
