DORF--John S. October 24, 1926 - October 27, 2012. John Samuel Dorf passed quickly and peacefully Saturday afternoon, at the age of 86. John was married nearly 60 years to his beautiful wife Patricia. John resided in Naples, FL and was a former resident of Piermont, NY and Old Tappan, NJ. From 1944-1946 he voluntarily served with the Third Infantry Division in Germany and received a "Battle Star" for Central Europe. He then attended NYU and graduated NYU School of Law in 1952. John was later recalled in the Korean Conflict serving in Tokyo in the Office of the Command Staff Advocate General Corp., Far East Command. During his 50 plus year legal career he was Real Estate Counsel of American Broadcasting Paramount Theatres, Inc., a partner with Berg & Dorf, and in 1988 began serving as of Counsel to Rosenberg & Estis. John "AKA" Boppee was known to all as a grandfather to many, a family man, a pit-bull in the courtroom and a great supportive friend! He never skipped a beat and never lacked in his love and support. He was strong when needed and filled with countless wisdom. John made certain all of his grandchildren received top notch educations and an endless amount of love. John is survived by his loving wife Patricia "AKA" Mema, a loving daughter Susan Kijowski, Son-In-Law Michael, and their children Jenna Kijowski and her wife Jessica Collins, Justin Kijowski and his wife Laura; Loving son John Dorf, Daughter-In-Law Linda and their children Randall and Carolyn Dorf; and by their loving son James Dorf. We will all miss him deeply and will always know he is constantly with us. With great love, the Dorf and Kijowski Family.
