DAY--John William, 80, passed away on April 20, 2013, New York City, with his wife, Barbara Cline, at his side. They met at Northwestern University in 1952 and were married upon graduation in 1955. John was NROTC and was commissioned in the Marine Corps, where he served two years in Quantico, VA, and Cherry Point, NC. Upon discharge in 1957 he joined Chrysler Corporation and was part of the Missile Division, which took him and his family to Italy and Turkey. He then joined Chrysler International and he and his family lived in eight countries in Latin America and Europe. He retired from Chrysler as an Executive Vice President in 1984. He then joined Bendix/Allied Signal, and retired from there in 1993. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Karen Day and her son Patrick Day Tine; daughter Lisa Day and her husband Tony Roberts and their daughters, Hannah, Rachel and Philippa; and his sisters Vicki Kozlowski and Debby Vandiver. Memorial service 11:00am Saturday, April 27, St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, New York City.
